Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the soot removing efficiency without stopping a turbine during soot removing operation by circulating solid balls to an exhaust gas economizer.
CONSTITUTION: Solid balls catching soot are recovered from an economizer 3 by means of a sold ball recoverer 7 so that they are supplied from the recover 7 through a pipe 9 to a separator tank 12 together with the heated air, which is supplied from its supply device 2, thereby to remove soot. Then, the solid balls are supplied from the tank 12 to a distributor 15 and a diffuser 16 so that the balls having their soot removed are fed into the economizer 3. Thus, the soot removing effect can be enhanced, and the necessity for stopping the turbine is eliminated during the soot removing operation.
