Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure detection of the fire outbreak via the heat and smoke in relation to each other and with use of the heat-sensitive thyristor and the photo detector.
CONSTITUTION: When the peripheral temperature rises up to the set level, heat- sensitive thyristor 11 conducts and actuates alarm device 13. Photo transistor PhTr14 is connected between the gate of thyristor 11 and one main electrode adjacent to the thyristor gate and usually conducts with reception of the optical output given from light emission source 5. The optical output, however, is reduced due to the intrusion of the smoke when the fire breaks out. As a result, the conduction of PhTr11 is reduced, and the switch temperature is lowered. In this way, the fire outbreak can be detected by both the heat and smoke in relation to each other
