Abstract
PURPOSE:To dispense with a control head and a control track by effecting the tracking during the reproduction of a VTR with the use of the burst signals of a preset level which are to be periodically inserted into color signals. CONSTITUTION:The chromatic signals cotaining the cross-talk from an adjacent track are converted through a resonant amplifier 71 and a gate circuit 73, which is opened in response to reproduction vertical synchronous signals, into such burst signals as are periodically contained in the chromatic signals of the adjacent track. The resultant burst singals are used for each adjacent trocks by the actions of the gate signals 75 and 76, which have their conductions controlled by the reproduction vertical synchronous signals, so that they are converted into DC voltages by diodes D1 and D2 and are clamped by clamp circuits 77 and 78. If, therefore, the DC voltages thus clamped through filters 79 and 80 by the circuits 77 and 78 are compared by comparator circuit 81 so that a capstan motor 82 is so servo-control that the two voltages become coincident, the tracking control in the VTR can be accomplished without use of the control head and control track.
