Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect a temperature control unit evn at abnormal temperature rise by use of a heat-sensitive body wherein n insulating body of low melting points is provided between a calorific wire and a short circuit wire, and a heat-sensitive wire is coated with an insulating material of high melting points.
CONSTITUTION: A heat-sensitive section comprises a spirally wound, foil form of heat-sensitive wire 2 made of a heat-sentive material such as semiconductors, and an insulating substance 3 of high melting points with which the heat-sinsitive material 2 is coated. A calorific body section comprises a calorific wire 5 spirally wound onto other core 4, the said wire 5 being coated with an insulating substance 6 acting as a safety device at abnormal temperature rise and a short-circuit wire 7 being spirally wound on to the insulating substance 6. The heat-sensitive body section and a calorific body section are formed in a body by a coat 8. If an abnormal temperature rise occurs in the calorific body, the insulating substance 6 melts, the calorific wire 5 short-circuiting, a temperature fuse 10 breaking by melting, and an electric current to the calorific wire being shut off. However, a temperature control circuit is not broken, because the insulating substance 3 does not melt due to the high melting point
