Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable images to be obtained in a consistent image state from the initial ones even if secondary latent images are formed plural times from the same primary image by providing a shield member between a screen form photoreceptor and a chargable member. CONSTITUTION:In an enclosure 34, a drum form screen 1 rotates about a shaft 15, and a light shield plate 20 is disposed on the inner side in cylindrical form. A primary voltage is applied to the screen 1 by a corona discharger 16, and a seondary voltage is applied by a corona discharger 17. At the same time, the image is radiated through glass 18. Corona ions are applied from a corona discharger 21 onto an insulation drum 22 consisting of an insulating layer 23 and a conductive drum 24, by way of the primary latent image whose potentials have been elevated by a full-face radiating lamp 19.
