Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a disc brake inexpensive and compact with a high safety by incorporating a master cylinder into a caliper. CONSTITUTION:A master cylinder composed of a cylinder chamber 17 and a piston 18 is incorporated into a caliper 10. Through an oil passage 30, are cummunicated a wheel cylinder chamber 12 which holds a piston 13 for pressing brake pads 15 and 16 and a master cylinder chamber 17. This arrangement eliminates the need for manufacturing any separate master cylinder and associated piping. Thus, labor for working thereof and material can be saved while there is no possibility of oil leakage involved in the piping.
