Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a crosslinked molded product having excellent heat aging characteristics, and containing a large amount of an anti-aging agent, by feeding an extruder with a silicone-grafted polyethylene and the anti -aging agent dispersed in an amorphous polyolefin.
CONSTITUTION: Pellets of silyl-modified polyethylene is prepared by melting and extruding 100 parts by weight of polyethylene to be silylated, together with 0.1W5.0 parts of a hydrolyzable unsaturated silane and 0.01W0.1 part of free radical generator, filler, etc. On the other hand, pellets containing an anti-aging agent are prepared by mixing 100 parts by weight of an amorphous polyolefin with 0.1W3.0 parts of silanol condensation catalyst and ≥2 parts of the anti-aging agent. The above polyethylene pellets are compounded with the anti-aging pellets, extruded by an extruder, and crosslinked by contacting with moisture
