Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent reactive power generation with supplying the current by a minimum required voltage, by adjusting automatically the voltage of a DC voltage supply according to the resistance of a subscriber line. CONSTITUTION:When telephone set 1 and current supply circuit 3 are connected through cross point switch 2 of the network, control pulses are supplied from control circuit 19 to SCRs 13 and 14, and the output of AC power source 18 is rectified and smoothed through transformer 17, and the current is supplied to the telephone set. Then, the current value is fed back to control circuit 19 by LED10 and photo- detector 20 and is so controlled that the current may be always fixed by delaying or advancing the phase in case of the current larger or smaller than the set value respectively. As a result, a minimum required and sufficient current can be supplied by minimum DC output voltage corresponding to the line resistance.
