Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate the dispersion of a guartz oscillator in a circuit manner by comparing the output frequency of the oscillator, which is stored in an ROM, with a designed frequency with the use of a subtracting counter so that the counted value of a time counting counter may be corrected. CONSTITUTION:A programmer valve ROM 2 is stored with the frequency of an oscillator 1, in which the difference between the frequency from a quartz oscillator 1 and a designed frequency takes a value of 1. The frequency read out of the ROM 2 is compared with the frequency of the oscillator 1 by a subtracting counter 3. If there is coincidence inbetween, and AND gate G1 is opened in response to the coincidence pulses of the counter 3 so that similar comparisons are repeated and that the ROM 2 generates code pulses in accordance with the gain or loss. Thus, one of the subtraction gates G3 and G2 is opened, and a time counting fundamental counter 5, which can be subjected to addition or subtraction, is corrected in its factor 1 so that dispersion of the oscillator can be corrected in a circuit manner thereby to effect the correct time counting operation.
