Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a damping effect from falling drastically, by providing at the end of piston near a piston rod a cup for reserving a part of working oil and by preventing only gas from passing through an orifice of gas spring. CONSTITUTION:The cup 17 for reserving a part of the working oil 7 is provided at the end of the piston near the piston rod 10. A fitted member 18, which can enter into the cup 17, is provided at the internal end of a rod guide 6. When the gas spring 1 is moved from a position a' to another d', a part of the working oil 7 is reserved in the cup 17 from another position c'. The fitted member 18 enters into the cup 17 and the oil 7'' reserved overflows the cup 17 and flows to the opposite side of the piston 9 through a gap 12 until the gas spring is moved from the position c' to the next d'. Therefore, the damping effect of the gas spring is prevented from falling drastically.
