Abstract
PURPOSE: To make exhaust gas convenient for the utilization of its thermal energy, by fixing the temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from a supercharger.
CONSTITUTION: A cover 5, which serves as a restrictor for intake air, is caused to slide in the axial direction of the supercharger to increase or decrease the cross- sectional area of an air suction passage 2 to decrease or increase the suction resistance. The sliding operation of the cover 5 is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder 6, which is controlled by automatically shifting a changeover valve 8 in response to an instruction applied by a sensor 7 sensitive to the fluctuation in the temperature of the exhaust gas discharged through an exhaust turbine 4
