Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the cooling temp of a cooler for removing moisture at low temp less than and equal to approx. -15°C without attaching a large quantity of frost to the low temp cooler.
CONSTITUTION: The introducing ports 4a, 4b of air or gas and the delivery ports 5a, 5b of dried air or dried gas are shaped to heat exchangers 1a, 1b, which are partitioned by a partition wall 2 and communicated by a communicating passage 3, and each communicated with a primary heat exchanger 7 and the coil 8 through change-over valves 6a, 6b. Coolers 10a, 10b are inserted into each heat exchanger 1a, 1b, and connected to a brine cooler 11. When working, wet air is fed to the heat exchanger 1a to attach a large quantity of frost to the cooler 10a, the supply of cooling liquid to the cooler is stopped, and wet air is continuously fed, thus melting frost while cooling wet air, then cooling air or gas by supplying cooled air with little moisture to the heat exchanger 10b
