Abstract

PURPOSE: To deduce effectively the power distribution of four units of of fuel assemblies surrounding LPRM based on the reading of Local Power Range Monitor.
CONSTITUTION: LPRM comprises four units P1WP4 which are secured with the string 2 surrounded by the fuel assemblies I, J, L, K, four locations of neutron flux being detected. The primary diffusion calculation is performed under the provision that the neutron flux set from those readings is taken as a boundary condition the neutron flux leaking to pre-set core radial direction being adjusted with a set position of LPRM to satisfy the diffusion equation. This enables to deduce the power distribution from only LPRM readings without transit of the transit type in- core neutron flux detector
