Abstract

PURPOSE: To make reproducing speed always constant in any position of record disc by providing a high-speed mechanism which controls rotating speed along with the movement of the stylus to the center of the record disc.
CONSTITUTION: When a motor 8 is driven, a rotary disc 10 also rotates. A rotary disc 14 in contact with the portion close to the outside circumference of this disc 10 rotates at a relatively high speed and the revolutions thereof are transmitted to a revolving shaft 15 via gears 11, 18, 16. In this way, wheels 5 rotate at a high speed and rotate at a relatively high speed on the record disc. Along with the rotation of the record disc, a cartridge 7 having a stylus 6 rotates gradually, causing the protrusion 19 in contact with a connecting rod 20 to move. This causes the disc 15 to move in the central direction of the disc 10. As a result the rotation of the disc 14 decreases and the speed of the wheels 5 also lowers. Here, if the number of teeth of the gears and other relative sizes are suitably set, the speeds of the stylus in all positions may be kept constant.
