Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the accurate period for the correction signals and thus to enhance both the reliability and the maintenance performance of the correction optical system by providing the scales of different widths to the scale part with every fixed number of units for the optical scanner incorporating the correction optical system to correct the scan.
CONSTITUTION: Laser beam 21 sent from recording laser beam source 11 is applied to optical modulator 13, and at the same time the record signals delivered from driving circuit 12 are applied to modulator 13 to perform the modulation. Then the output of modulator 13 is applied to galvano-mirror 14. Mirror 14 is driven by driving circuit 12, and the beam is irradiated to record material 15 to record the information. At the same time, the correction optical system possessing correction laser beam source 16 is provided to give correction of the optical scanning speed for mirror 14. Thus, the reflection beams from mirror 14 are condensed to concave mirror 18 via scale 17, and the condensed beam is then detected through optical detector 19 to control circuit 12. Scale 17 is given to the scales of different scales with every fixed number of units, and then different reference signals are generated every fixed space in order to secure the accurate correction signals.
