Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent automatically transversal flow by the procedure in which a fixed bias is applied to automatic voltage regulator in exciter so as to equalize generator voltage with bus voltage in making parallel operation and after making, it is switched to other fixed bias.
CONSTITUTION: When the transversal flow during parallel operation of the AC generator 6 whose load share is controlled by speed control of prime mover is detected by the transversal flow detection transformer 3 and then compensated by the exciter 5, the load characteristic of the generator 6 is transferred by operating the voltage setting device 15 of the automatic voltage regulator 14 built in the exciter 5 by the voltage-setting operator 16. Thus, the transversal flow can be automatically prevented only by providing additionally a simple circuit by making connection after generator voltage is equalized with bus voltage when making parallel operation by the regulator 1 and after the making, it is switched to other bias by the voltage-setting operator 16.
