Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a suction port which is simply structured, slides smoothly even on a carpet floor and can remove easily even waste thread and so on, by forming a slope, whose rear part points upward, at the rear of a backward curve part of a suction port, and by providing protrusions at the slope.
CONSTITUTION: A backward curve part 31 is located behind a floor brush 8, and a slope 32, whose rear part points upward, is situated further behind the brush 8. Protrusions 33 are arranged on the slope 32 along the direction in which a dust suction port and a suction groove 5 are arranged. In the case of cleaning a carpet floor, the floor brush 8 is pulled in. In the event of waste thread and the like being entangled with carpet thread, the front of the sucton port is lifted up so that the slope 32 can become parallel to a floor surface, and the waste thread and the like will be removed as a result of being scratched off by means of the protrusions 33. At that time there is no friction resistance between the suction port and the floor surface, and thus, a force, which is needed for sliding of the suction port, can be relatively small.
