Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle operation controlling system, which is capable of effectively achieving group control of vehicles by using fixed values for the time required for travelling from one station to the next, involving a tolerance for recovering delay.
CONSTITUTION: Number of vehicles employed for operation, time intervals for vehicle operation, standard travelling time, minimal time intervals for start and arrival of vehicles, constant of vehicle stopping characteristics and minimal adjustment time are set in constant setting unit 8. Output of the constant setting unit 8 is supplied to arithmetic unit 9, and start and arrival time for each vehicle is determined by diagram making unit 10. Instructing unit 11 compares actual operating condition of vehicles detected by detecting unit 12 with the diagram prescribed in the unit 10 and affords trol signal to the joining and shunting points of the transport system, through consideration of the results of the above comparison.
