Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase operational efficiency by installing a single conveyor to send in and carry out works and to stock the works in order to reduce space required for the conveyor as well as to use the conveyor as a manipulating device for rational handling of the works.
CONSTITUTION: On supporting columns 6, a cross beam 7 is mounted above a machine tool 1 and parallel to it. A manipulating device 16 is installed to the cross beam 7 right above the machine tool 1. A manipulator arm 23 is supported by a supporting plate 29 so that the arm moves up and down freely. A fixing element 22 is assembled to the lower end of the arm 23, and a work supporting box 20 is installed on the fixing element 22. A cylinder 19 is installed on the upper end of the arm 23 providing a mechanism for a pawl 24 to move right and left. Also a cylinder 17 is installed on a plate 29 parallel to the arm 23 for making up an elevator to move the manipulating device 16. In conbination with the cylinder 19, a roller conveyor 12, and the box 20, a lifter 15a carries works W, thus increasing operational efficiency.
