Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the agitating capacity and cooling effect of fuel pool water, by discharging cooling water over the whole range of a base of a fuel a pool by mounting a piping for cooling water to a bottom of the fuel pool and by installing a number of discharge holes to the piping.
CONSTITUTION: A piping 2 for cooling is mounted over the whole length of a side of a bottom of fuel pool 2. Pipes 5 with small diameters are installed to the piping 2 in the direction that crosses at right angles with the piping 2, and let pass under fuel storage racks 6.
