Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a shell frange, increase strength of a take-up hardware and reduce dimensions of a trunninon by welding the take-up hardware to top end of a shell and tying a trunnion thereto with bolts so that the take-up hardware and the shell can by joined into one unit.
CONSTITUTION: an outer circumferential section of a take-up hardware 11 is welded to end section of a shell 9, and a trunnion 12 is tied to this take-up hardware 11 with bolts. For example, the take-up hardware 11 which is cubically assembled steel plates welded construction is securely welded to end section of the shell 9 made of steel plates, and a shell liner 10 of a special wear-resistant steel plate is tied to inner circumferential area of the shell 9 with bolts. A cast steel trunnion 12, whose outer diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the shell 9, is tied to the take- up hardware 11 with bolts. And on the other take-up hardware 11 thatn that on which the trunnion 12 is installed, a special wear-resistant steel plate 13 and a center hardware 14 are installed with bolts. In this mechanism, it is possible to increase strength of the take-up hardware 11 and also to reduce dimensions of the trunnion 12 so that it can be easily manufactrued and the quality can be maintained.
