Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of secondary windings S1WS3 are mounted to a transformer 21, and switch circuits 23W34, to each which thyristors are antiparallel connected, are connected so that bridge circuits, which employ one switch circuit as an arm, be formed while the output side is connected in series and connected to a series transformer 22. Thus, the output voltage of the secondary wingings S1W S3 can be applied to the series transformer 22 in the boosting or tension lowering direction by controlling the switch circuits 25W34, and voltage can minutely be adjusted while the switch circuit are bypassed and loss can be diminished when there is no necessity for boosting and tension lowering.
