Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize and to prevent an injury of a passenger caused by excessive fastening, by turning up a seat belt at a supporting part and by holding a fastening force by the use of a friction resistance produced between both seat belts and between the seat belt and a lever. CONSTITUTION:A supporting part 1 is secured at a center pillar of a car body, and seat belt S is turned up for hanging at a ring 11 at its end. A lever 2 rotates in conjunction with a shaft 3, and a shoulder side belt S1 and a retractor side belt S2 are simultaneously lifted up. When a load is applied to the belt S1 due to a movement of a passenger as a result of a collision, the retractor is unlocked, and the belt S2 can be freely fed out. The lever 2 rotates due to a gas pressure in a driving unit 4 by means of a signal of a collision sensor, and only the friction resistance, which is produced among the belts S1, S2, the lever 2 and the ring 11, serves as a holding force for the belt S1. And thus, the belt S1 is drawn out as a result of exceeding the resistance.
