Abstract

PURPOSE: To dispense with the constant temperature compensation of a detector element by dry ice or the like, by providing a compensation circuit for a detection circuit for infrared rays emitted from a heated material.
CONSTITUTION: The signal voltage V2 of an infrared ray detector is represented as V2=V1(R0+ΔR)/R2 where R0 denotes a fundamental resistance and ΔR denotes a resistance component which fluctuates due to the of incidence the infrared rays. The DC component (V1/R2)R2 of the signal voltage V2 is blocked by a filter circuit 14 so that only the AC component (V1/R2)ΔR of the signal voltage is amplified to a detected amplified voltage V3 by a detection amplifier circuit 15. The voltage V3 is changed into a signal V4 by a logarithmic conversion circuit 16. The signal V4 is entered into an error compensation circuit 17. The signal voltage V2 is also entered into the error compensation circuit 17. The signal voltage V2 is also entered into the compensation circuit. The signal V4 is compensated by a calculation part 17a of the circuit 17 to prevent the error due to the temperature difference between the heated material and a room. A control circuit 18 controls a high-frequency oscillation circuit 19 by a compensated signal voltage V5.
