Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture an oxygen-free annealed copper wire with a wide final annealing temp. range and high tensile strength and elongation after final annealing by subjecting an oxygen-free copper wire material to process annealing during drawing, followed by cold working at below a specific reduction ratio and final annealing.
CONSTITUTION: An oxygen-free copper wire material such as DFP rough wire is subjected to process annealing during drawing, followed by cold working at a reduction ration below 99, pref. 69W95% and final annealing. The final annealing temp. range becomes as wode as about 230W350°C, and an oxygen-free annealed copper wire with little lowering in tensile strength and high elongation after the final annealing can be manufactured.
