Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide efficient and sure dredging of liquid, by using a simple system for keeping a pump operated in a state almost to its rated capacity with a minimal control of valves.
CONSTITUTION: Part of liquid discharged from pump 1 which is operated almost to its capacity of put through a control valve 5 into a tank 3 while displacing air in the upper portion to a discharge pipe 17 through an air exhaust pipe 19. As the liquid level in the tank 3 rises, a level detector 10 checks to optimal level in the tank, and its signal activates a power unit 26 to close the control valve 5 and open other valves 6, 8. Then liquid in a tank 4 is exhausted through discharge pipes 16, 17. This system can surely exhaust the liquid in the tank 4 without controlling the operation of the pump 1.
