Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture the clad sheet provided with smooth faying surface and uniform thickness of the clad metal, by hot rolling the clad sheet consisting of titanium and nickel or copper, and by cold rolling after the heat treatment at the temperature of the finishing stage of the rolling.
CONSTITUTION: The clad sheet, consisting of titainum and nickel or copper, is hot rolled at first; when the temperature of the finishing stage of the rolling is under 400°C, the sheet is reheated to 450W650°C; after that, the clad sheet is cold rolled, or otherwise, the clad sheet is hot rolled at first, and if the temperature of the finishing stage of the rolling is above 400°C, the clad sheet is directly cold rolled. If the temperature of heat treatment is higher than 650°C, the crystalline of the clad matal grows larger, so that such clad sheet is unfavorable for the purpose of rolling. If the temperature of heat treatment is lower than 450°C, a long heating time is required, so that such condition is unindustrial. The suitable heating time is about 0.5W2 minutes per 1mm of thickness for 550W650°C, and is about 3W15 minutes for 450W550°C.
