Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the droop and residual ink of nozzle orifice part by supplying cleaning liquid and air to the nozzle orifice part to force-flow the ink of the nozzle orifice part and collecting the ink forcefully in suction duct. CONSTITUTION:Two electrode plates 6a, 6b are opposedly installed as liquid detecting means in the opening part of a suction duct 3. The discharge air of a compressor 5 or the like is given to a duct 2 via two-way electromagnetic control valve 7 and venturi 8 and the mist form water in an ultrasonic humidifying bath 4 is discharged at the portion of this venturi 8 and is given to the duct 2 through pipe 9. The suction duct 3 communicates to the internal space of a liquid discharge bath 11 through pipe 10 and the air drawn into the duct 3 and entered the liquid discharge bath passes through exhaust pipe 11a and is released to the atmosphere. By supplying the cleaning liquid and air to the nozzle orifice part in this way, the cleaning of the nozzle orifice may be sufficiently accomplished.
