Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent formation of anodic oxidation configuraton due to fir tree like crystal structure formed in rolling and oxidation through adjustment of grain size of a layer under the coarse cell layer at the surface of cast alloy, by controlling the quantity of addn. of Ti, B to the molten metal of Al alloy which is to be used for rolling.
CONSTITUTION: Quantities of Ti and B, which are to be added in trace amount for refining crystals of cast Al, are limitted respectively to about 0.007% under and 0.0014% under. Hereby, grain size of a layer under the coarse cell layer at the surface of Al alloy ingot for rolling, which precipitates Al-Fe intermetallic cpd. in the ingot, is controlled to 150W250μm under. Thereby, formation of anodic oxidation configuration due to fir tree like crystal structure or linear anodic oxidation configuration due to feather like crystal, formed after rolling and anodic oxidation, is prevented, consequently yield from material is increased.
