Abstract

PURPOSE: To bond a deposited metal layer firmly to a printed plastic base, irrespective of the type of the base and the ink, by coating the plastic base with a solution of a one-pack type moisture-curable polyurethane resin in an organic solvent, and depositing a metal thereon.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic base film, e.g. polypropylene, etc., having a printed surface, is coated with a solution of a one-pack type moisture-curable polyurethane resin preferably containing 1W10 wt.% of isocyanate group, in an organic solvent. A metal such as aluminum is deposited thereon, and if necessary a covering film is further laminated thereto to give the desired laminate.
EFFECT: Sufficiently high adhesive strength even to the polyolefin base having poor adhesivity. Little lowering of the adhesive strength with time. No blocking and long potlife.
