Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a three-phase armature winding with the number of convertible poles at a ratio of two to three with a single winding by improving the winding connection.
CONSTITUTION: The U phase winding, V phase winding, and W phase winding consist of the windings 3 and 4 and the winding groups 1 and2, windings 11, 12, and 16 and winding groups 13 to 15, and windings 21 and 22 and winding groups 23 and 24, respectively. In such fromed windings, when operation is performed by the bumber of poles, U1 to W1 are connected to the respective power supplies for the number of large poles and the U1 to W1 are jumpered and U2 to W2 are connected to the power supplies for the number of small poles. This permits a three- phase motor of which number of poles can be converted at a ratio of two to three and of which phase magnetomotive force is balanced to be obtained with a single winding.
