Abstract

PURPOSE: To give an alarm in case of abnormal combustion, by calculating a reference value through follow-up of the change in the level of image signals, instead of getting a reference value for each change of combustion in accordance with the change in load.
CONSTITUTION: Image signals from a TV camera 1 are selectively extracted by an extracting circuit 3 and smoothed by an integrating circuit 4. A mean value calculating circuit 5 means the output signal from the integrating circuit 4 and a coefficient calculating circuit 6 multiplies the mean value by a certain coefficient a(a<1). A reference value calculating circuit 7 subtracts the output signal from the coefficient circuit 6 and a certain threshold value ΔE from the mean value to get a reference value. This reference value is stored for a preset period in a time memory circuit 8 to compare with the output signal from the integrating circuit 4 by a comparating circuit 9. Since the output of integrating circuit 4 suddenly drops in case of abnormal combuston, the comparator 9 checks the attenuation and actuates an alarm circuit 10.
