Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the capacity of an air conditioner when used as a room heater by connecting a point between a heat exchanger on the inside of a room and an enclosed type motor driven compressor via an electromagnetic valve, an auxiliary capillary tube and a secondary suction pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A point between a heat exchanger 4 on the inside of a room and a main capillary tube 5 and the cylinder 17 of an enclosed type compressor 1 are connected via an electromagnetic valve 6, an auxiliary capillary tube 7 and a secondary suction pipe 26. By so doing, when high pressure gaseous refrigerant coming out of the compressor 1 passes through an electromagnetic 4-way valve 2, enters the heat exchanger 4 on the inside of the room, condenses and liquefies there, discharges heat and heats the room and then returns to the compressor 1 via the main capillary tube 5, a heat exchanger 3 on the outside of the room and the electromagnetic 4-way valve 2, if the gas actuates the electromagnetic 4-way valve 6 together with the electromagnetic valve 2, refrigerant gas which returns from the suction pipe 24 in normal refrigerating cycles is drawn into the cylinder 17 at the end of a suction stroke via the secondary suction pipe 26 and the auxiliary capillary tube 7, and so the quantity of circulating refrigerant is increased and the desired effect is obtained.
