Abstract

PURPOSE: To make accurately reproductive resetting of a grinding wheel to the position thereof for the interruption of grinding by setting the relative advance end position of a grinding wheel heat to a base at a distance corresponding to dressing depth backward from the position thereof for the interruption of grinding.
CONSTITUTION: When a grinding wheel is dressed by a dresser, a piston 21 is advanced over a fixed distance, a feed screw member 52 is turned counterclockwise, and a grinding head 10 is retreated over a desired distance. After the completion of dressing, a change-over control valve 24 is set to position I again, and said grinding head 10 is quickly fed forward by a cylinder 17. Next, when said piston 21 has contacted with the regulating member 26 transferred combinedly with a feed screw shaft 25, the relative advance end position of said grinding heat to a base is regulated by the regulating member 26 retreated in the same manner as said feed screw shaft 25 for dressing. Therefore, said grinding head 10 positions at a distance corresponding to dressing depth backward from the position thereof for the interruption of grinding, and the accurately reproductive resetting of said grinding wheel is made to the position for the interruption of grinding.
