Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a resistor whose resistance change is low at high temperature or humidity, by using a binder resin obtained by denaturing a phenol-denatured xylene by a reactive silicone compound.
CONSTITUTION: The phenol-denatured xylene resin is caused to react with the reactive silicone compound having at least three alkyl groups per molecule. Then, chlorohexanol and benzyl alcohol are added to the substance produced by the reaction. The mixture is stirred to a uniform solution. The resistor, whose resistance change is low at high temperature or humidity, can be made from the solution.
