Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a delicious drink having thick feeling without pasty taste, useful as a remedy for hyperlipidemia, by adding an indigestible polysaccharide and a water-insoluble fruit component to a drink.
CONSTITUTION: 1-2 W/V % of an indigestible polysaccharide such as vegetable seed gum, gummy exudate, cellulose derivatives, etc., (esp. pectin) and 5W10 W/V % of a water-insoluble fruit component (e.g. skin or pulp of orange, lemon, grapefruit, etc.) is added to a drink such as fruit juice (e.g. orange juice, grape juice, apple juice, etc.). The drink thus prepared is sterilized with heat, and filled in a can, etc.
