Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately an engine after a detection switch is actuated by minimizing the effects of hydraulic variation due to the waves near the detection switch.
CONSTITUTION: The internal parts of the oil sump 7 are partitioned between the detection switch 25 and the oil stroke rod 9 by the partition wall frame 10. When the amount of oil decreases nearly to the threshold level l, the thru hole 15 functions as the oil channel of the lubricating oil which passes the partition wall frame 10. Even if the oil surface level outside the partition wall frame 10 changes, the variation in the amount of storage oil in the partition wall frame, that is, the time before the oil surface level of the partition wall frame 10 changes can be increased by properly setting the aperture of the thru hole 15. Consequantly, even when the oil surface level changes by the waves due to the stroke movement of the oil stroke rod 9, the time lag when it produces an effect on the oil surface of the partition wall frame 10 is large.
