Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform exactly and easily the sealing operation of connected portion by the procedure in which the circumference of connected portion is covered with vertically halved covers, then conical positioning parts for covering the ends of the covers and cable, and then the outside of these is further covered with a thermo- shrinking tube.
CONSTITUTION: The both ends of the cables 4 and 4' are connected with the connector 5 and then the outside of the connected portion is covered with the vertically halved segments 3' and 3" to form a cylindrical barrier(protective cover) 3. Then, the conical positioning parts 6 and 6' through which the cables 4 and 4' are beforehand inserted are moved to the ends of the cylindrical barrier 3, and then the thermo-shrinking tube 2 through which the cable 4 or 4' is in advance inserted is moved to a predetermined position and then shrinked by heating. The aforesaid positioning part 6(or 6') consists of the cylinder 6a with a cylindrical form fittable with the outside circumference of the cylindrical barrier 3 and the conical part whose end hole 6b coincides with the outside circumference of the cable 4.
