Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of slab extracting temp. by estimating the temp. of a steel slab from the temp. of each zone of a multi-zone type heating furnace and controlling the furnace so that the value becomes the desired temp., thereby making the temp. of each zone optimal. CONSTITUTION:Each zone of multi-zone type slab heating furnace 1 is provided with furnace temp. detector 2a-2c, and the detected temps. are inputted into furnace temp. setting device 4. A change in temp. of a slab in each zone is calculated in slab temp. calculation part 11, and the slab temp. after a fixed time is estimation calculated in slab temp. estimation calculating part 6. Next, the quantity of correction to furnace temp. setting is calculated in furnace temp. setting correction calculating part 8 according to data from furnace temp. setting valuation calculating part 7. In accordance with the quantity of correction, changes in furnace temp. and fuel flow rate with the passage of time are calculated in furnace temp. dynamic calculating part 9. The values are allowed to be memorized in set furnace temp. value output part 10 and outputted to furnace temp. controller 3 with good timing. In order to control the furnace temps. detected with detectors 2a-2c to set values, the flow rate of fuel is controlled, and the slab is extracted from furnace 1 at the set temp.
