CONSTITUTION:Each zone of multi-zone type slab heating furnace 1 is provided with furnace temp. detector 2a-2c, and the detected temps. are inputted into furnace temp. setting device 4. A change in temp. of a slab in each zone is calculated in slab temp. calculation part 11, and the slab temp. after a fixed time is estimation calculated in slab temp. estimation calculating part 6.
