Abstract

CONSTITUTION:An impedance bridge formed with the inductance L of a coil 5 directly buried in the bottom of a toner vessel 4 and printed on a flexible sheet, resistances R1, R2, variable capacity C is formed and a power source 15 is connected to its two terminals and a detection circuit 11 to its other two terminals respectively. A frequency is applied to this bridge and the variable capacity C is so adjusted beforehand that the balance current of the bridge becomes 0. when magnetic toner is put in the vessel 4 in this state, the inductance L increases and therefore the balance of the bridge is broken and current flows in the detection circuit 11. By suitably selecting the diameter and number of windings of the coil 5, the approximate toner quantity in the vessel 4 may be grasped by the current values passing the detection circuit 11.
