Abstract

PURPOSE: To make supply voltage uninfluential on humidity detection despite the use of the same power source for the entire circuit by applying voltages intermittently to a humidity sensor thereby reducing the characteristic fluctuations of the humidity sensor and making the relative relations of the split voltages by the humidity sensor and set voltage value constant.
CONSTITUTION: The series connection assembly of a resistance 3 and a humidity sensor 4 and the series connection assembly of resistances 5, 6, 7 are parallel inserted between power source terminals 1, 2. A voltage comparator 8 compares the voltage V1 at the point of connection of the resistance 3 and humidity sensor 4 and the voltage V2 at the point of connection of the resistances 5, 6. A voltage comparator 9 compares the foregoing voltage V1 and the voltage V3 at the point of connection of the resistances 6, 7. A memory circuit 10 when applied with a control signal at its ENABLE terminal 11 stores the results of comparison of the voltage comparators 8, 9 and generates its output in terminals 12, 13, then the voltage comparators 8, 9 and memory circuit 10 are supplied with power from the power source terminal 1. The control signal is then applied to the terminals 2, 11 and voltages are intermittently applied between the terminals 1, 2, during the application period whereof the humidities are detected.
