Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the suction performance of an electric cleaner while accomplishing a clear disposal of dusts through the removal of the dusts from a pre-filter by providing a reciprocal rotation to the pre-filter arranged between a main filter and a suction port of a dust collecting box.
CONSTITUTION: This electric cleaner is fitted with a pre-filter 26 for collecting coarse dusts and a main filter 16 for collecting fine dusts. The filter 26 is formed in an almost circular disc and provided with a pre-filter shaft 28, connected with a rotary driver, at the center thereof. In addition, the shaft 28 is so pressed by a spring body 31 to spin in the direction opposite to the rotation of the driving body when the shaft 28 rotates in certain direction. Means 34 and 37 for engagement or disengagement in the connection depending on the direction of rotation is provided between the driving body and the shaft 28. With such an arrangement, repeated operation of a slow rotation of the filter 26 in one direction and a rapid rotation thereof in the other direction is made possible.
