CONSTITUTION:Repeaters (n) and (n+2) arranged on the transmission line on a two-wire transmission system send back a distorted wave of frequency (fH0) and repeaters (n) and (n+2) send back a distorted wave of frequency (fH1). In this case, a test signal by a distorted wave passing through a fixed bypass circuit is sent out by receiving distortions from terminal stations 1 and 12 by an amplifier, and the distorted wave sent back from each repeater is detected to test each repeater. Consequently, it can be prevented that adjacent distorted waves arrive in reverse order with the time difference between them made large.
