Abstract

PURPOSE:To seure a high-accuracy orientation of the target position by using the azimuth detected via the radiation wave arrival direction detector and the self-side machine position information detected by the self-side machine position orientating device such as the navigation apparatus or the like. CONSTITUTION:Electric wave source position orientating device 4 consists of electric wave arrival direction detector 1 to detect the azimuth of fixed wave source 6, self-side machine position orientating device 2 to detect the self-side machine position and the machine head direction, and position orientating circuit 3 to detect the position of the power source based on the output data of detector 1 and device 2. Thus, device 4 is installed to the moving object like the airplane or the like to orientate the target position while moving. In other words, position X and Y of the electric wave source can be obtained via Eq. [I] and [II] based on azimuth detection data theta1 plus self-side machine position detection data X1 and Y1 preceding by several times along with azimuth data theta2 plus self-side machine position data X2 and Y2 of present time respectively. To ensure the higher-accuracy position orientation, plural number of data are detected and the average value is obtained. The light, the sound wave or the ultrasonic wave can also be used for the radiation source.
