Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the load of the operator with the device which reads out the hand-written characters and others, by displaying the reading result collated with the standard pattern of the identification part and the quantized pattern on the display screen in correspondence to each other.
CONSTITUTION: The electric signal which is obtained by scanning and converting character information 2 of slip 1 at photoelectric conversion part 3 is supplied to quantization circuit 4. Circuit 4 converts this electric signal into the quantized pattern and then supplies it to character detection cut-out part 5. Part 5 detects and cuts out the quantized pattern with every character section to supply it to identification part 6 and buffer register 8. Part 6 collates the quantized pattern to the standard character pattern and memorizes the character pattern of a high resemblance into buffer register 7 in the form of the reading resuls. Then read-out character 11 and original picture 12 are displayed alternately on screen 10a of display part 10 with correspondence between register 7 and 8 at display control part 9. Thus, the operator can decide the reading result by just viewing the display contents.
