Abstract
PURPOSE:To control soak pit operation with high correlation by the calculation of a temperature calculation model by use of a presumed hollow, endless cylinder of ingot radius whose wall thickness is one half of the shorter side of steel ingot and by estimation of the time at which the ingot can be taken out by use of the calculated temperature.
