Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of alkali chlorates in the anolyte by taking out a part of main circulating salt water;decomposing alkali chlorates in the salt water with hydrochloric acid;and returning unreacted hydrochloric acid to the main circulating salt water so as to prevent a decrease in purity of chlorine gas at the anode.
