PURPOSE: To provide a cylinder head construction for an engine in which strengthening of swirl flows can be attained by constituting same such that a recessed groove is formed in the bottom surface of a projection provided to the cylinder head in order to direct skish flows in an appropriate fixed direction which is identical with the direction of swirl flows formed by means of swirl flow forming means.
