Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an oil tanker, which is formed with a projection on both sides thereof so that the section of its body is substantially in the form of a cross shape, whereby its ballast means and associated equipment can be made small by positioning the draft line at a lower portion of said projections during low-load navigation, while positioning the draft line at an upper portion of said projections during high-load navigation.
