Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides (SOx and NOx) in combustion waste gas to be removed simultaneosly at high efficiency with a single scrubber, by first oxidizing NO to NO2 in the waste gas and then removing NO2 and SOx with a specified circulated scrubbing solution and further removing part of its solute from the solution.
